Current Game Status: This is the first 1483 Online game that will use all of the game maps *and* combine all phases into one gigantic turn update. What this means is, 72 players or more shall be taking their turns as the same time.  Originally this game was going to be pay-to-play and sponsor money prizes to the top ranking players. It turns out there was not enough player interest to fill that game format full of players, so now there will still be prizes, just smaller ones. For instance, the top 5 ranked players, at the end of each 10 turns, shall have be given $10 gift certificates that may be used on any *Guild of Blades* products. These gift certificates will be allowed to pay for up to 50% of any purchase on Guild of Blades products.  The game will now end after turn 30 with the prizes issued as the Guild sees fit. I assume they will still follow the above format.  Lastly, this consolidation of the game turns is a format we hope to make viable for the upcoming computer game, so this can be considered the play test for that game.  I will be adding an FAQ and page showing my changes to the official GOB rules. This years course has nearly completed, and I will be ready to start moderating again from 24th September 2004.

However: as a number of players are likely to drop out and it could take up to Christmas to sort this out I am considering restarting a smaller game with only 1 or 2 maps.  ***
