MEDALS & AWARDSThese Medals can and are given out only by the ASG Command Council or the Commanding Officer of a Ship after contacting the Command Council.The Medal of Honour is awarded by the President, in the name of Congress, to a person who, while a member of the Federation, distinguishes himself or herself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his or her life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in action against an enemy of the Federation; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force; or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. The deed performed must have been one of personal bravery or self-sacrifice so conspicuous as to clearly distinguish the individual above his or her comrades and must have involved risk of life. Incontestable proof of the performance of the service will be exacted and each recommendation for the award of this decoration will be considered on the standard of extraordinary merit. CHRISTOPHER PIKE MEDAL OF VALOR: Awarded by the Master Fleet Marshall Only in the name of
Starfleet Command. The Christopher Pike Medal for Valor may be awarded to any service
member of Starfleet who distinguish themselves conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity
at the risk of their own lives above and beyond the call of duty under any of the
following circumstances:
The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded to a person who, while serving in any capacity with the Starfleet, distinguishes himself or herself by extraordinary heroism not justifying the award of a Medal of Honour; while engaged in an action against an enemy of the Federation; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing/foreign force; or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing Armed Force in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from his or her comrades.
The Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the Federation, has distinguished himself or herself by exceptionally meritorious service to the Federation in a duty of great responsibility. The performance must be such as to merit recognition for service, which is clearly exceptional. Exceptional performance of normal duty will not alone justify an award of this decoration.
Awarded to Officers, WOs and non-commissioned member of Starfleet "who shall have distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services". The Legion of Merit may be awarded for combat or noncombat services. Justification of the award may accrue by virtue of exceptionally meritorious service in a succession of important positions. This is the highest Starfleet award for noncombat services.
The Silver Star is awarded to a person who, while serving in any capacity with the Federation, is cited for gallantry in action against an enemy of the Federation while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force, or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. The required gallantry, while of a lesser degree than that required for award of the Distinguished Service Cross, must nevertheless have been performed with marked distinction.
The Bronze Star Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the military of the Federation, distinguished himself or herself by heroic or meritorious achievement or service, not involving participation in aerial flight, while engaged in an action against an enemy of the Federation; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force; or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. A common medal.
The Soldiers Medal is awarded to any person of the Armed Forces of the Federation, or of a friendly foreign nation who while serving in any capacity with the Federation, distinguished him/herself by heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy. The same degree of heroism is required as for the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross. The performance must have involved personal hazard or danger and the voluntary risk of life under conditions not involving conflict with an armed enemy. Awards will not be made solely on the basis of having saved a life
The Federation Heart is awarded in the name of the President of the Federation to any member of an Armed Forces who, while serving with the Federation, has been wounded or killed, or who has died or may hereafter die after being wounded; Commendations are only given out by Starfleet Command or by Fleet Commands
The Federation Commendation is awarded to any member of the Armed Forces of the Federation other than General Officers who, while serving in any capacity with Starfleet, distinguished himself by heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service. Award may be made to a member of the Armed Forces of a friendly foreign nation who distinguishes himself by an act of heroism, extraordinary achievement, or meritorious service, which has been of mutual benefit to a friendly nation and the Federation. These acts may involve aerial flight. An award may be made for acts of non-combatant-related heroism, which do not meet the requirements for an award of the Soldiers Medal
The Naval/Marine Commendation is awarded to members of units that have served together in a live combat role and through teamwork have completed all mission objectives set before them. This award is given in-groups to both Naval and Marine personal on the same ship or post. These acts may involve aerial flight.
The Starfleet Achievement Commendation is awarded to any member of the armed forces of the Federation, who while serving in any capacity with the Army in a non-combat area, distinguished himself by meritorious service or achievement of a lesser degree than required for award of the Starfleet Commendation Medal. The Achievement Medal will not be awarded to general officers and must be awarded prier to command.
The Federation Defence Service Medal was awarded
to personnel for active duty service for a period of twelve months or longer in a command
position. This can be from any area or branch of Starfleet operations. This ribbon is awarded to members of the armed forces of the United Federation of Planets for combat action service. The principal requirement is that the personnel must have been in a ground or space combat firefight, or action during which they were under enemy fire, and that their performance under fire must have been satisfactory.
The POW Medal is issued only to any person who
was taken prisoner or held captive while engaged in action against an enemy of the United
Federation of Planets, or while serving with friendly forces engaged in armed conflict.
The recipients conduct, while in captivity, must have been honourable. A small medal given by one of the Admirals for
acts that s/he deems worthy or notable. Awarded to any member of the Federation who is distinguished by Meritorious Achievement or Service while Assigned to a Joint Activity. The degree of merit need not be unique but must be distinctive. Bronze V device worn to denote Valour or Heroism in Combat.
A small medal given by the CO of any vessel of
any act that s/he deems worthy or notable. A small medal given by the CO of any vessel to a crewmember that has over the course of a 6 months used good skills and was respectable of other Crew members on his ship without getting a reprimand from his commanding officers. First part of the Vulcans Kolinar Disipline, this award has been changed to meet Starfleets purpose. The award is given to thoughs that have either gone to the Vulcan Academy and passed or as an Award to thoughs that show logic, peace and harmony on a mission for the federation of great importance.
This award is given by captains to the crewmembers of their ship that has served in combat that was not a major action and was part of an exploration mission in Deep Space
The easiest and most common award by Starfleet is the service Award that is received after 6 months on a current ship or base in New Worlds.
A second award, which is an upgrade to this award, is given after one year and has the Silver SF Logo in the centre.
The Exploration award is the second easiest award to get in Starfleet. When personal serve on a starship for 3 months they will receive this award from the captain. One must serve on an exploration mission to get this award.
This is the Federations highest unit award. It is issued in the name of the President of the Federation as public evidence of deserved honour and distinction to any organisation, detachment, installation, ship, aircraft, or other unit for outstanding performance in action.
It is awarded by the Chief Admiral to any ship, aircraft, detachment, or other unit of the naval service of the Federation which has distinguished itself by outstanding heroism in action against the enemy, but not sufficient to justify award of the Presidential Unit Citation.
It is awarded by the Chief Admiral to any unit of the Navy or Marine Corps which has distinguished itself under combat or non-combat conditions, by either valorous or meritorious achievement compared to other units performing similar service, but not sufficient to justify the award of the Naval Unit Commendation. Special Awards as in fleet actions, wars and a major event that effects the Federation.
This award was given to all Naval & Marine personnel that where on active duty during the First Dominion War only.
This award was given to all Naval & Marine personnel that where on active duty during the Second Dominion War only. Awarded to top of the class Cadets at Sniper School at the Marine Academy.
