Personal Background

Ssova was a professional Ecological Engineer working for one of his Clan's companies on Andor when a freak accident took his mate and brood. At the time, he had been traveling in hypersleep on a sub-light trip to one of the outer planets of the Epsilon Indi system, and the resulting shock from the severing of his telepathic mate-bond did not kill him as commonly does with Andorians. However, his life was so affected by the tragedy, that he sought to place some distance between himself and his former existence.

He joined Starfleet, where his background in military science made him a shoe-in for Security work. He was first posted on the hard-science research station Mendel, where he slowly learned to work with humans and other beings on a more personal basis. Then, he was transferred to the Phoenix, where he was immediately thrust into sensitive investigations and projects dealing with the politics behind power in the Delta Quadrant. He has been promoted twice for his excellent record of service.

He was assigned as Executive Officer of the Omichron Shipyards mission, under Marine Major Kiara Haven (with whom he is psychicly linked, due to an earlier mind meld event). During the course of the mission, Major Haven was taken ill and fell into a coma, wherein Ssova had to assume command of the away mission. The mission was completely successfully, and Major Haven eventually recovered.

However, on return to Starbase Phoenix, they found that Captain T'Rin had been called away suddenly and without explanation. As a result, Major Haven was required to assume command of the station, and Ssova became her acting Executive Officer. After the insidious attack of the Dodec, using using a mysterious nano-virus that slowly drove everyone on the station violently mad, the positions were made formal.

He served faithfully during the time travel accident that threw Phoenix back 150 years in time, where they met the original Starship Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike. After the station's return, and due to reasons not yet sufficiently explained, Lt. Colonel Haven stepped down as Commanding officer, leaving the postion for Ssova to fill.

Personal Background

Caleb was born to Rafael and Kathy Hidalgo in Caracas, Venezuela. His parents were 'servants' to a local crime lord after being unable to pay a debt his father had incurred. From an early age Caleb and his older brother Jonas turned to crime for survival. Pickpocketing, stealing, shoplifting, and scamming were the everyday routine for the two brothers. One night when trying to pick a drunk man's pocket, Caleb was caught and the old man reached for his weapon. As Jonas jumped on the man trying to protect his younger brother Caleb, a shot rang in the air. As Caleb ran from the scene he looked back at the old man rubbing his head on the floor, and at the lifeless body of his brother Jonas. Caleb decided to join the academy, to try and escape the ghosts of his past.

Caleb is highly charismatic and intelligent. He is very 'street savvy', he knows all those little tricks that they don’t teach at the academy and are only learned on the streets. He is a very open person but his personality turns a little serious when it comes to the subject of his brother.

Marine Major
Marine Lieutenant Colonel
Travian Loran
[ Played by Dave ]

Species: Bajoran
Gender: Male
Height: 1.88M
Weight: 86kg
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Birth Date: 2368.08.06
Place of Birth: Bajor
Starfleet Record
2403.7.25
Transferred to Starbase Phoenix from Deep Space
Nine, retroactively awarded the rank of Second
Lieutenant- assigned as Marine Wing commander.

2404.2.22
Co-laterally assumes the position of Tactical Officer.

Promoted to 1st Lieutenant.

2404.6.23
Promoted to Marine Captain, assigned the position
 of Marine Commanding Officer.

2405.8.29
Promoted to Major, assigned as Chief of Security.

2406.8.24
Married to Kia Bensu.
Personal Background

Loran was born on Bajor after the Dominion War,
knowing nothing of resentment towards the
Founders- or, his people's older enemies, the
 Cardassians.

When he was young, his family moved to a colony
in the Celtris system, near the Cardassian border,
during a time of political tension. All through
his childhood, his parents fought, and he fought
with them. During his teenaged years, his mother
died, and he and his brother ran away from home,
 eventually ending up on Bajor.

Shortly after arriving, looking older than he
did, and with the swagger of someone who knew what
he was doing, he applied to join the Bajoran
Militia. Very quickly, Loran established himself as
one of the best pilots- and his age discrepency was
 overlooked.

His attitude rubbed some the wrong way, and he
was given training as a foot soldier. His superiors
hoped this would humble him. It did not.

In 2399, Loran left the Militia. Official records
state this was done for disciplinary reasons.

In 2403, Loran returned to Bajor, was re-enlisted
into the Bajoran Militia, and was assigned to
Deep Space Nine to train fighter pilots. His
laid-back attitude towards the training irritated his
superiors- and the Militia asked Starfleet to take
 the officer off their hands.

Starfleet agreed, and assigned him to Starbase
Phoenix, who were in need of experienced pilots.

Lieutenant Commander Belasco Delacruz

[ Played by Ken ]

Species: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 1.67M
Weight: 76kg
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Brown
Birth Date: 2378
Place of Birth: Earth (Spain)
Starfleet Record

2400.6 Graduated Academy, and posted to Judge Advocate General's office, Starfleet HQ.
2402.1 Promoted to Lieutenant (jg).
2402.4 Transfer to Starbase Phoenix as Operations Officer (Administration).
2404.9 Medical Leave.
2405.2 Returns to service.

2405.4 Transfer to Fleet Liaison Office.

2405.9 Promoted to Lieutenant, made Chief Operations Officer.
Personal Background

Belasco was always a hard worker, and a skilled organizer, which drew him into adminsitrative services.  First, in the JAG's office (where he established an ongoing relationship with Admiral Flemming), and then in Operations on Starbase Phoenix.

Belasco was a romantic at heart, and when the lovely new Counselor, Kia Bensu arrived, he was immediately smitten.  However, his natural shyness kept him from acting until it was too late.  Belasco was, sadly, the first victim of the Madness Plague - a nano-scale biological weapon used by the Dodec to attack the station from within.  The bionites slowly drove Belasco into severe psychosis, though the efforts of the Counselor helps keep a small part of him sane until the cure could be found.

However, the damage had been done.  Coming out of the sickness, he seemed a new man, and went about wooing Counselor Bensu.  But she had already struck up a relationship with the dashing Marine Captain Travian, and the heartbreak of finding this out revealed the true depth of the psychological damage Belasco had suffered.  He returned to his quarters that night, overrode the environmental controls, and allowed the temperature to fall to near absolute zero, thus killing himself.

Ordinarily, this would be the end of an officer's career.  However, as a result of the "The Time Shift Effect," Travian Loran traveled back (or forwards, as the case actually was) to that very night, and was able to rescue Belasco *before* he died.  Belasco was put on medical leave, and spent time off station in intense counseling.  He then returned to Phoenix to start a new life.

Now, he has become caught up in the machinations of Commander Jensen's quest to wrest control of the station out of Ssova tra'Fitz's hands.  But this time, Belasco may not be so much of the pushover or victim.

Ensign Tobias Stace

[ Played by Shaun ]

Species: Trill (unjoined)
Gender: M
Height: 1.7m
Weight: 65kg
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Green
Birth Date: 2385
Place of Birth: Trill
Starfleet Record

2407.07.15     Assigned to Starbase Phoenix as an operations officer.

Personal Background

Relavtively toned body frame.  Obvious Trill markings visable from the forehead and down the side of the neck.  A constant 5 O'clock shadow on a prominant, thick-set jaw.  Hair dark brown which can look deceivingly black in the shadows.  Posture is up-right, however, not rigid; commanding, but not overly so.  When thinking, has a tendency to touch his mouth with first and middle finger.

Born on the Trill homeworld, Tobias Stace had an affluent up-bringing.  Brought up in a rather small family.  Mother, father (naturally) a twin sister and a younger brother.  His twin sister decided to continue with the family business of landscaping and did not follow him into the Academy.

Excelling at school, Tobias Stace took special interest in the sciences.  Commanding a large group of friends, he didn't always realise his full potential in education.  Sometimes barely scraping through, however, his natural intelligence would always shine through.  He knew when to knuckle down and get the job done when needed.

After being accepted into the Trill Joining Program, Tobias Stace dropped out and focused all efforts on this Starfleet Academy entrance.

personal_profile: Tobias Stace is a likable and competent gentleman.  Talkative, but respectful, he commands a friendly ease with strangers.  Not one to 'lose his cool', Stace does, however, display a serious, natural authority and is not a man to be challenged.

When relaxed, Stace is both witty and approachable.  Passionate about music and literature, he prefers his own company but can easily persuaded to join the crew down in the mess hall for a sociable time.  Never really the 'life of the party', Stace would much prefer to laugh than to be laughed at as the enterainment.

When thinking, Stace has a tendency to place and/or tap this first and middle fingers on his mouth. This could be seen as a nervous disposition, however, upon studying his face when this happens, it is clear to see that this a result of his concentration.

Warrant Officer (4)
Kestra Izma
[ Played by Marna ]

Species: Deltan/Betazoid
Gender: Female
Height: 1.83M
Weight: 68kg
Hair: Auburn
Eyes: Brown
Birth Date: 2372.5.9
Place of Birth: Earth
Starfleet Record

Kestra graduated at the bottom of her class in high school barely skinning
by.  Not until she was accepted into Star Fleet Academy did she get her act
together and do the right thing.

Always a rebel without a cause, Kestra marches to the beat of her own
drummer.  She was responsible for several protests, various sit in's and was
the poster girl for student rights.

Things turned around for Kestra when she attended Officer Candidate School
and earned her Warrant Officer Status.
Personal Background

Tall, willowy and striking Kestra possesses big round almond shaped brown eyes that are almost the color of fudge. She is a perfect mix of her father who was Betazoid and her mother who was Deltan. Kestra's eyes and smile are the first thing that attract the attention of those she meets.

Being half Betazoid and half Deltan have been a blessing a curse to Kestra. Born to highly charged sexual beings Kestra comes by her sex appeal and sexuality quite naturally. Kestra emits pheromones that cause sexual attraction in members of the opposite sex of other species, that coupled with the fact that Kestra is soon approaching the female Betazoid 'Phase', which her Betazoid woman's sex quadruples.

Most always happy, funny, and quick with a joke Kestra meshes well with most everyone she encounters. However, she has one pet peeve – she doesn't tolerate liars very well due to her own strong sense of honesty – why lie when the rest of your society can read her mind. She also is uneasy around those minds she can't understand.

She would like to marry one day -- but find the right man, who will consent to marry naked has been hard to find. That always seems to be the deal breaker in her relationships.

Deeply spiritual -- spiritualism guides Kestra every day. Betazoid mythology centers around the Four Deities, which also represent four aspects of Betazoid life, which Kestra adheres to.

Kestra was born on Betazed, her mother Meila a Deltan met her father Tam a Betazoid years ago through a cultural exchange program. They fell in love, married and Kestra was the result. Kestra was a late in life baby, and her parents are now elderly, retired and living peacefully on Betazed.

Aloof and a free spirit Kestra didn't care for school much, however she loved people, and the entertainment business. Extraordinarily musical Kestra has been a part of four successful bands that are notorious throughout the Starfleet.

At one time Kestra wanted to take up a career in singing, however she found herself as a ship's bar manager instead, pouring drinks, listening to other people's problems, and dispensing her sage advice.

Lieutenant
G'ldraarg (of the) Hr'nlah (clan)
[ Played by Will ]

Species: Gorn
Gender: Male
Height: 1.88M
Weight: 95.3kg
Hair: None
Eyes: Covered
Birth Date: 2387.3.12
Place of Birth: Tau Lacertae IV
Starfleet Record

2405.5 Assigned to Starbase Phoenix as part of exchange program.

*2405.10 Promoted to Lt. Jg.  Assigned as acting Chief of Engineering.
Personal Background

Tau Lacertae IV, being one of the closer planets to the homeworld, was one of the first colonized in the early days of Gorn space exploration. Colonization was based more on nearness than on habitability, and the economy grew around mining what resources could be taken from the planet itself. Still, due to it's place in the early history of the Gorn 'empire' many saw status in living there even after more planets came under Gorn rule. Due to over-crowding, many young Gorn in recent generations have been seeking opportunities to move to another planet.

G'ldraarg went through reservist training on Tau Lacertae III where he learned engineering and signed on to the engineering crew of a freighter. When the Gorn learned of access to the Delta Quadrant they wanted to learn more but feared that mounting their own expedition might be viewed as an act of aggression by the species in that area. They therefore decided to arrange a diplomatic exchange of personel with any group in the region who would accept the idea in order to get a representative who could send reports on the Delta Quadrant back to the home world. While not exemplary, G'ldraarg's service record was above average and because he is short for a Gorn (and therefore less intimidating to the people he'd come in contact with) he was called into active duty for this task.

Griffin was born on earth - August 15, 2369. His mother is of Italian descent and is an educator. His father is Australian/American and owns a restaurant in the Back Bay area of Boston. He has one younger brother, Leland - two years his junior. From the age of thirteen he attended a private school and graduated in the top ten percent of his class.

In the fall of 2394 he applied to StarFleet Academy. He was accepted after a lengthy interview and the submission of a proposal as his entrance essay based on his research in the development of higher density magnetic constriction fields and their application in warp drive theory. He initially attended the academy from 2395 to 2399 and graduated in the upper 50 percentile. While at the academy he became friends with a Bajoran male named - Mirin Ahni who he eventually shared an apartment with. He returned to the academy to study medicine after a two year tour of duty on Starbase Horizon and is currently assigned to Starbase Phoenix. Griffin's family still lives in Boston and his brother Leland is now a full partner in the family business.

She was raised mainly by her brothers, due to her Father being a very busy, and very wealthy cargo trader.
