Soon after Ed arrived in Chicago, his beloved grandmother became a constant voice in his head, chiding him whenever he was rude or hateful. It was just Ed's way of reminding himself of what Gram had taught him. She had raised him, after all, and had been his only true parent: Ed had never known his father, and his lowlife mother had abandoned him.

But something changed after Ed was possessed by JigSaw's madness and compelled to attack Agent Pender. Gram's voice became more alive to him than ever, and she talked him down from the insane blood urge. And then, as he sat locked up in the PRIMUS GodBox, Gram told him goodbye, and she whispered a secret...
